God's Word In Your Mouth

Our words have a job to do in our lives. Now, I know that there's people that believe that words are insignificant, but let's see what The Bible says. In Matthew 12:36 Jesus said, "But I say to you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgement." That word idle means inactive or unemployed. So, our words should be doing something. It would be unjust for God to hold us accountable for our words not doing anything if they don't have the power to do anything. So, obviously God thinks our words should be doing something. So, let's establish our words have power/ability.

In Romans 10:6-8 Paul said, "But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:) Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.) But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach. Notice where the word should be, in your heart(spirit) and in your mouth. Notice, with the word in your heart and mouth you don't need to call Jesus back because the word will do the work. Notice what God said in Isaiah 55:11, "So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth; it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." How is his word going to return to him, when you speak it.

Now let's see what the word in your heart and mouth will do, "But the mouth(words) of the upright shall deliver them" (Proverbs 12:6). Proverbs 12:18 says, "But the tongue(words) of the wise is health." That word health is translated medicine, remedy, or cure. Proverbs 14:3 says, "But the lips(words) of the wise shall preserve them." How does those scriptures line up with putting God's word in your mouth, Psalm 37:30,31 says, "The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgement. The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide." There it is again the word in your heart and mouth. The wisdom of God and the law of God is the word of God (Luke 11:49Psalm 147:18-20; Proverbs 3:1). And the word of God is quick(alive) and powerful and able to accomplish whatever it says. So when you line your words up with his words then that power works for you. But, the word of faith has to be in your heart and mouth, they both work together. In 2Corinthians 4:13 it says, "We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak." So, if you believe the word then you should be speaking it. So, it's not just speaking, but also believing. And hold fast to your confession of God's word for he that promised is faithful (Hebrews 10:23,36).

AMEN!

God spoke the universe into existence - He didn't just think it. "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."

Like you say..it's not just speaking, but also believing.

We don't ask God for things when He already told us what to do.

Here is the whole meaning of all the first verses together in context. The first verse is taken out of context.

Matthew 12 Young's Literal Translation (YLT)

`Either make the tree good, and its fruit good, or make the tree bad, and its fruit bad, for from the fruit is the tree known. 34 `Brood of vipers! how are ye able to speak good things -- being evil? for out of the abundance of the heart doth the mouth speak. 35 The good man out of the good treasure of the heart doth put forth the good things, and the evil man out of the evil treasure doth put forth evil things. 36 `And I say to you, that every idle word that men may speak, they shall give for it a reckoning in a day of judgment; 37 for from thy words thou shalt be declared righteous, and from thy words thou shalt be declared unrighteous.'

Seeing the two arguments was interesting, and you can see and learn something from it. The parties involved are not in Oneness together, there’s a separation, the Bible says each man in his own turn/time, Truth is blocked from them, they don’t have the eyes to see or the ears to hear yet, One sees the other doesn’t they are blinded and it is all foolishness to them and no matter what the continued argument is not going to help the blind one see, because they are not awaken yet. The Bible says awaken sleeper awaken, its hard to argue with a person that is not awaken yet. I would Bless them and pray for them to be awaken, not continue to throw words at them that they don’t understand, because they are foolish to them that are asleep.
