without the Catholic Church you would know NOTHING about scritpures or Christianity. Still denying the 7,000; I see...
Romans 11:4
And what was God's answer to him? "I have reserved for myself seven thousand who have not bowed the knee to Baal."

thank the Catholic church that you even know what the scriptures are.......if not through them, then through who??The Jews and the Holy Spirit.
The Catholic church did it's best to keep Scripture OUT of the hands of the people.
John Hus can testify to that.

Well, I’m younger and have been on both sides. I know Catholicism from the inside and the lies and control it foists on its adherents. I’ve lived both sides, not just know about them.
I know its revisionist history it passes off as true when far more objective historical records clearly demonstrate that RCC history is not accurate in the least.
I’ll take the simplicity of the gospel and freedom in Christ any day over the bondage to rules and regulations and condemnation the Catholic church lays on people in bid to make them earn their salvation.

Christians are Christians. They are not Protestants by default simply because they are not Catholic.

A peon? Ok, but are you Polish? (that's a joke... like "is the pope Polish?" --- turns out one finally made it, etc.)
Thanks for the pings. I've seen them all, but have had little time or inclination in the last couple of months to participate.
I see one dropped out. That one should have been zotted a long time ago for habitually making it personal, doing the VERY things he/she complained others do...
The accusation that you are "a pope" to some here is both ridiculous and insulting, yet I've come to expect that that sort of commentary or response will be part of the mix here. I've at the moment little to no patience for it.

Christians are Christians. They are not Protestants by default simply because they are not Catholic. the definition of a protestant is a non-Catholic Christian.

You are also very prideful - which is a sin. A Cardinal sin according to your religion! false pride is indeed a sin, but to qoute a Muslim, Mohammad Ali.."it ain't braggin' if you can do it"
when you're right.....you're right
I have this very same discussion with my wife of 51 years all the time!!!

the definition of a protestant is a non-Catholic Christian.
'When I use a word,' Humpty Dumpty said, in a rather scornful tone,
' it means just what I choose it to mean, neither more nor less.'
'The question is,' said Alice, 'whether you can make words mean so many different things.' 'The question is,' said Humpty Dumpty, 'which is to be master - that's all.' |

I'd like to thank the United States Government for protecting me and my kind.
You see, 40 years ago, my odds of making it out of the egg, alive, were very poor; about 80% of us died.
But a lady discovered our plight and wrote a book that addressed our problem,
What I find strange is that the same government passed a law the very next year that allowed for killing
of unborn, and apparently unwanted, humans. Little ones still nestled safely in their Mother's womb.
Around 25% of them are dying before birth - on average nearly 3,300 - every day of the year.
I hear that by now, somewhere around 55 MILLION of them have perished.
Wouldn't that kind of mess up the humans plans for growth, and welfare, and
retirement?
Strange birds; these Homo Sapiens. Perhaps they'll come to their senses
before they are ALL dead!

Missed your post, but good to know you are reading. But not sure if that poster dropped out or won’t return under a different alias, but he/she was pushing it.

I appreciate your comparison between the damaging of eagle’s eggs and abortion....but in case you didn’t knw, the book which I assume you are referring to “silent spring” probably cost as many lives as have been taken through abortion. Silent spring resulted in the demise of DDT which resulted in MILLIONS of people in the third world dying of preventable diseases which DDT controlled....it and abortion are both pathetic.
To: terycarl
I knew all that; but since those ‘lives’ were mostly poor feriners; they really didn’t count fer much.
