Saint Louis University is the subject of controversy today after it allowed a pro-abortion speaker on campus last night. MSNBC TV host Touré Neblett spoke last night in the Carlo Auditorium of Tegeler Hall on How Racism Functions Today and Ways to Deal with it to Get Success.
Without question, one of Saint Louis Universitys greatest strengths is our diversity, said University President Lawrence Biondi, S.J. Here at SLU, people of diverse beliefs, diverse backgrounds and diverse faiths come together to learn, to live and to lead.
But pro-life advocates are alarmed because, on January 25, Toure’ gave a commentary on the MSNBC program The Cycle about how he and his girlfriend had an abortion, saying that the choice saved my life. He added that he thanked God for abortion.
I cannot imagine arguing against a womans right to control her own body, and thus her life, said Neblett.
The Gateway Pundit reports that pro-life advocates protested the event.
Move On Up was there to bring attention to the Universitys decision to have an ardent abortion supporter give Black history remarks at one of the leading Jesuit universities in the country. But most of all to bring attention to the larger issue of abortion and its devastating effects on the black community these last 40 years.
The rally was quite successful with about 60 -70 people marching outside and another group inside for audience participation.
I attended the last 30-40 minutes of the conference, and felt like I was in the twilight zone of liberal madness.

Another one bites the dust, ping!
I wonder what the Hebrew word for diversity is in reference to following false gods.
If the Catholic Church were serious it would strip all of these places and groups of the right to use the “Catholic” description
Thus it is proven yet again that “Jesuit” and “Catholic” are have clean different meanings. Like Notre Shame University which survives on football, on the academic reputation that was earned by long dead generations of Holy Cross Fathers, Knute Rockne and the Gipper and misty-eyed inaccurate memories of a past long gone and long since repudiated by the apostate behavior of the likes of Fr. Jenkins, Fr. Malloy and Fr. Hesburgh, St. Louis University is not and long has not been actually Catholic. Fr. Biondi should resign and go to work more publicly for Planned Barrenhood and NARAL.
Not too sure what the word is but God was truly PO’d when Moses came down from the mountain after receiving the commandments and saw his flock worshiping the Golden Calf.
Translation: "Thank God I don't have to pay child support for 18 years."
My thoughts exactly.
Let us not forget Georgetown...lets see hummm how many leading radicals making noise hail from this Jesuit center ?
Freep-mail me to get on or off my pro-life and Catholic List:
Please ping me to note-worthy Pro-Life or Catholic threads, or other threads of general interest.

Interesting how someone apparently concerned with racism praises the Row v. Wade regime that kills mostly blacks.
Overall, African-American women account for 36.4 percent of all pregnancy terminations in the United States, although blacks make up only 13 percent of the population, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The agency attributes the higher abortion rate among blacks to a higher incidence of unintended pregnancies. (Source: TheRoot.com)
There are people who support abortion for racist or eugenicist grounds: it is OK, they reason, if inferior human stock kills its offspring. Note with respect to How Racism Functions Today and Ways to Deal with it to Get Success.
Yes, you are right. Margaret Sanger for example. If we could get one major spokesperson for the AA community to stand up and proclaim the racist element in the abortion business, I believe it would begin the ultimate destruction of the industry.
But it will take more than bait people on race. One has to get across to someone the guy with an MSNBC gig, that sexual continence and taking responsibility for his children IS the only social lift available for any race.
