Yea - that's another thing......doing genealogy and finding dead ancestors to be baptized for as if to say their life decisions for or against salvation in Jesus didn't matter.

If a Mormon today gets baptized on behalf of someone who died maybe five hundred years ago, bingo!...they go to heaven!....how screwed up is that theology??!!!!

Yep.
It makes sense when you learn that women cannot go to the high level of celestial being without a call from their husbands, so that leads to polygamy.
Many of these baptisms are for un-married or suspected un-married women, so they can be called.
It is better to baptize them, just in case they were not married or not married to a “mormon man”.
So lds do practice active polygamy today.
