The last Trial of The Church in the form of a religious deception offering men an apparent solution to their problems at the price of apostasy from the truth.
We wait in joyful hope for the second coming of Our Lord and Savior to judge the living and the dead.

I know this post was probably half tongue in cheek, but here’s why it seems fairly unliklely apart from the Bible, Natural Law, and reason:
The Catholic Church doesn’t accept civil divorce and remarriage as possible. Even now.
I think the Church would change this before the accept ‘gay marriage.’ I don’t think there is any group of Christians that think ‘gay marriage’ is possible now that didn’t also think civil divorce and remarriage was possible before.
