They seem to be slowly on the rise, even here in the United States. There are some surprising numbers, I think, in the number of young people who are part of the Catholic Church or even joining the Catholic Church and I’m sure people asked you the question, Kate, why would you be a member of this church that seems to be anti-women, anti-gay? I’m sure you get this question. What do you say?
GRAHAM: I say that this church is as much my church as it is Pope Benedict’s church. This church is home for me. And I think we see young Catholics and progressive Catholics, members of call to action, an organization that I’m on the board of, that are building inclusive justice-seeking, loving faith communities at the local level and we’re going to continue to do that no matter who the next Pope is.
My answer: we don’t condone homosexuality and it is a perversion of Satan that the liberal media seem to have an inordinately large number of. It seems as though their views are skewed that way when they interview us at least. Why do they continue to promote homosexuality in movies, the Internet, and the MSM and now the Boy Scouts of America? Is there a hidden agenda that the Church should know about when we do these interviews with you? Are they trying to increase their numbers, is it for population control, or if we begin to accept homosexuality as normal does that mean bestiality and pedophelia are next? We do love you but we don’t have to like you.

My goodness! It’s been reported that there are over 30k “Christian Churches” - these nuns could have a real choice. Better yet - they could start/create their own Church - and call themselves priest or whatever they choose. A do it Yourself - Religion. Can’t beat that! Only thing .. they wouldn’t get the recognition they enjoy now ... by hanging on to the Church.
