I am not a "Survivor" watcher either but the individual who devised this, is a big fan with theological training, who thought it might be fun (i.e. NOT to be taken seriously), to view the Conclave like the game of Survivor.
Insofar as Bagnasco, the absence of his name is an oversight that has been rectified. Insofar as Scola, the groups are being formed alphabetically for the sake of keeping things simple. We are only on day 5. This was explained in yesterday's Introduction thread that included Days 1 thru 4 here. When you think about it, the process of identifying the candidates, organizing them, setting elimination criteria and then ranking them, is actually quite time consuming. Kudos to Mark Moorhead who developed the process, for purposes of intrigue and entertainment. He has a Master of Arts in Theology and a Catechetical Diploma from the Vatican.
Thank you for your kind response, but I do not find anything entertaining about this election. Imho, the decision of the Papal Conclave is much too serious to treat it in this manner.
