If there is any truth to the "homosexual lobby / blackmail" aspects of this story, and if you couple that with the "homosexual priests" scandals of the 60's through the 80's in the USA and other countries, homosexuals are still doing an awful lot of damage to the Church.

This kind of story plays right into the hands of politicians like B.O. who are trying to stifle vocal Catholic dissent on issues such as so-called "homosexual marriage", and these current news stories are possibly being partially engineered and manipulated by those same anti-Catholic politicians around the world and their lackeys in the "mainstream" press.
