Peter, Cephas (Greek) or Kepha (Hebrew). Both Cephas and Kepha mean rock. “Kepha” would be close to what the Lord had named Peter.

It's Christ's church. We are Christ's people. It wouldn't please Him, I think, to get rid of references to what and whom He has created, and what and whom He loves.
He loves sinners. He died for us while we were yet His enemies.
How great His love is! It is impossible for us to conceive!
