What is perfect is the Holy Spirit and the implementation of the will of God. The next Pope is Christ’s chosen apostle... just like Peter ( whom if we remember denied Christ 3 times.)

Read a piece not long ago where your most recent pope claimed the the Holy Spirit had little, if any thing to do with picking popes...I would tend to agree with him...

But I still believe Mahoney should be in prison. Not flying around the world to do anything, least of all using his influence to further bring the Church to his own level of corruption and degradation.
