Many years ago when I was a kid I was at an ice cream store on Forest Ave in Des Moines with my Dad. Their ice cream was good and it was hand packed. Dad ordered a quart of vanilla. The clerk’s response was ‘What flavor?’.
I guess some things never change... :)
