Devotions to these activities won't save you, either.

Maybe you don’t think prayer and contemplation are good things, but I wouldn’t foist that on other Christians.

Yes, praying is dangerous for your soul. A good Christian never does anything as immoral as praying. Especially that dangerous Lord’s Prayer.

The Church makes no such claim about sacramentals, as the Baltimore Catechism itself explains.

“Devotions to these activities won’t save you, either. “ - pictures of a rosary and a scapular.

In the Catholic Church we do have what we call “pious devotions”. They are forms of prayer that inspire us to meditate on the life of Jesus Christ. No one is required to use these prayers. They are tools that can strengthen our love of the Holy Trinity or specifically Jesus.

During Lent, our attention is on the impending death of the Lord, Jesus. Thus on Good Friday evening at Tenabrae we sing, “Oh, crucified Messiah, Oh, crucified Redeemer, Son of God Most Holy, Crucifed for us.”

I know why the devil is afraid of symbols of prayer and devotion to God.
I don't know why you are.

WOW....all the way to Post 9 until the Anti-Catholic bashing begins. ha.

Those items pictured are not venerated as Jesus is, but are reminders to help mortals remember in the hum drum of daily life to focus on God.

Par for the course...Catholic bashers are ignorant of the catholic faith, but feel free to bash away.
