That cereal box is a perfect representation of what personal interpretation really is; the marketing package for a product. People pick out a box they like and stick with it until they see a picture of Calvin, Joseph Smith, Rick Warren, E G White, or someone else they like better on the packaging some other group uses.

"Sola Scriptura" is the marketing name for Suit a Yourselfa, just like "Family Planning" is the marketing name for infanticide.

That's why for hundreds of years non-Catholics all taught contraception was a sin, then all reversed themselves.

They didn't reverse what they taught as the Truth based Scripture and guidance from the Holy Spirit, they reversed what they taught because latex condoms became widely available, inexpensive, and popular with the wallets in the pews. That's just one example of how those who rely on their own interpretation of Scripture end up following Eve rather than following Jesus Christ.
