I'm having difficulties with what you wrote. You said "having the baby is morally acceptable."

Then later you said "They should have asked if sex outside of marriage is morally acceptable."

I'm guessing you think the answer is yes; having sex outside of marriage is morally acceptable.

Sex results in having babies. So if its morally OK to have them outside of marriage, then it must be OK to have the sex outside of marriage in order to have them babies.

"But I don’t consider (out of wedlock) childbirth to be morally unacceptable."

I do. Its morally and socially unacceptable.

Out of wedlock births are not good (although much preferable to abortion), but they don’t happen spontaneously. They are the result of immoral behavior, not an immoral behavior in and of themselves.

No, I was not clear.

I don’t think sex outside of marriage is morally acceptable.

I don’t think the baby is the immoral part, though. So I’d have been inclined to say “No, I don’t think it’s immoral to deliver a baby if you are unmarried.”
