I must disagree. I see no difference between the admiration and mystique of the American cowboy and the Argentine gaucho. Or for that matter the Mexican vaquero.
That image was a motivator for Ronald Reagan and for the Solidarity movement that liberated Poland from communism. It’s not worship. It’s inspiration.
