Exactly. I am a Catholic because of the theology of the faith. It’s Catholics like Dolan that give devout, practicing Catholics a bad name. The Church is full of these types and they should be purged and excommunicated. We
need more Cardinal Burkes and less Dolans and Wuerls.
Jesus said the wheat and the weeds would be in the world until the “close of the age.” I feel sad for people in dioceses with Bishops who set a poor example. That’s not a trial I’ve had to experience so far.
As Pope Francis said (today?) we need to pray more for the Church and its leaders. Dolan might be converted by prayer.
Prayers for Dolan and public excommunication from the Catholic Church for the scandalous Andrew Cuomo, who openly mocks the church and spits it’s face by promoting abortion on demand and homosexual “marriage”. He is a disgrace to the faith and the Vatican should do the deed, not leave it to a liberal bishop like Dolan, because that means Cuomo will never be rebuked and will only cause more scandal to the Church.
A take-no-prisoners Bishop of New York would be something to see. We can pray ...
Andrew Cuomo seems to be flies-on-him evil, like Barack Obama.
I feel the same way, and I don't judge the Church if some in positions of leadership don't meet my expectations, or do or say stupid things.
Jesus knows how weak we are, he became one of us, and saw how we work, up close. He saw the weakness in his own Apostles, so to see that in today's leaders isn't surprising.
