Good thing Islam is a fascist political totalitarian death cult, ‘cause otherwise me calling mohammed a child rapist and “Allah” Satan would be illegal.

It’s not blasphemy to point out the fact that islam is heretical in it’s refusal to subscribe to the truth of the Bible and accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

In America, people are free to believe anything they choose to put faith in. Even Islam is allowed, because that encompasses religious freedom. HOWEVER, in America, when Islam seeks to force Americans to live by the laws of Islam or tries to shut people up for contending with Islam, TAHT is a violation of Constitutionally defined rights.

What constitutes blasphemy exactly in this law?
Will it creep, as it has so many times before, into ANY criticism or questioning, or even mentioning certain aspects about a religion, equals Blasphemy.
I'm sure you can figure out which religion in particular I'm concerned about.

Very true. It’s just ironic that now our American government is the one turning more secular and effectively atheistic and official Russia has now turned away from materialistic Marxism.
To: PieterCasparzen
Well then Judaism is heretical too then.

If you want fines for speech, perhaps you should find a country other than America to call home.
Fortunately, it seems you have a new candidate to your liking.

No, because it allows for heresy, blasphemy, any sort of paganism and heathenism and godlessness to pervert and destroy the practice of Christian faith. And this is what has happened - and our government not only allows it - it encourages it. Our government directly attacks Biblical doctrine as allowed by a technical, "letter of the law" reading of the Constitution.
Many people at the time of ratification ignored this fact because they assumed (?!?!?!?!) that people would always practice the idea of freedom of religion in terms of allowing multiple Christian denominations, instead of future generations twisting it into freedom from religion.
Because the Constitution does not codify any specific Biblical basis for itself and America, godlessness was allowed to prosper and grow.
American civil government officials, having no Constitutional basis for exhorting the Church to perform its role in society well, simply gave in to atheists under the guise of pluralism.

A bill imposing jail terms of up to three years on those who offend religious believers is set to become law in Russia. The new blasphemy law was approved by the State Duma in Moscow on Tuesday, June 11. This thread needs to be re-posted/moved to the Religion Forum STAT!
To: Borges
But it does not insult the God of the Bible, so there would be no civil law in an explicitly Christian nation that would apply.
In an explicitly Christian nation, the sphere of the Church is matters of faith. The worst penalty a Church can administer is excommunication. If one is not a member of a Church, then one is not under the Church’s authority, which is only spiritual.
Anyone in an explicitly Christian nation who is not a member of a Church is only subject to civil law.
