Freeper Desperately Seeking Prayers (Vanity)

I apologize in advance for the "vanity" thread. I am not a "spambot" or a "zot." I am a freeper of over twelve years, who is embarrassed and ashamed to use my regular log in for this post.

For those of you who are praying people, please include me in your regular prayers: our apartment landlord has told us that we have to vacate the premises within the next six weeks because, apparently, "we are the problem" as a white, heterosexual thirty-something couple who doesn't drink, doesn't smoke, and doesn't do drugs. We don't have company over, or play loud music or have parties. But all the while, our "ghetto" neighbors (the nicest way I know to put it) are becoming more annoying, threatening and loud with us.

My wife and I spent all week looking for houses, but could not find anything nice in our price range. And this morning, I went to the doctor because of all my stress and anxiety over it all, and they gave me a prescription to help cope with my nerves. Very worried and scared now. Don't want to have to defend myself in a physical confrontation with the ghetto neighbors. And I don't want to be homeless. Exhausted from it all, and don't know what will happen next. Please pray for us. Thank you, and sorry again for the vanity post.

This sounds somewhat like our situation, except that we have to move because the LL decided to sell the building after our being here for 20 years, and it is not because we are considered the “propbem,” though past moral stands were a matter of much conflict with the LL and her BF.

I try to give tracts to everyone i come by, and as they are Latin (but not Mexican) then they are usually quite receptive. They are mostly Catholic, but i think some have been truly born again.

We were given two months notice, June 30 being D day, but only really went to look at apts this month, which are very few in this area for lower price we can afford (approx 1300— 1600 for 3-4 br) and are down to the last week. Then the Fire dept told my LL that she cannot pass papers till all the fire alarms are hard wired, even though the new owner has a permit to renovate the place, ‘

We do Christian ministry (and no smoking, drinking or even TV) and so our choices are constrained to serve that. Prices are high due to demand around here, plus sec. 8 etc. i think, and if you are low income and not in the system, then you compete with high incomes for what is left, etc.

But i am not really worried, as i known God will provide, even if it is at the last. But help though my unbelief.

Thanks to those who recently commented, who are willing to pray for my situation. We looked at more houses today, but I have to go back to work tomorrow (my weekend is Friday/Saturday), and I am very physically ill over all this. Please continue to pray, and thanks to those who I may have missed.

Thanks again to everyone praying for us. We made an offer on a house today, and I am very nervous as to whether or not they will accept it. Right now, even with an acceptance of our offer, we are up against the clock in terms of how long it takes to process a home loan, versus the tight deadline that the landlord has given us. Please continue to pray for us, and that maybe the landlord will open his eyes and heart to our situation, and give us a few more days. Otherwise, we may have to put our furniture and all possessions in storage, and live on the street or out of a hotel or something.

Thanks also to those who have sent me private Freepmail. I tried to respond to each of you who did, but I received a message from FR, saying "Sorry, your account is too new to use this feature." Maybe I can log into my other existing FR account and write you back.
