Jimmy Carter Accuses Catholic Church of Human Rights Abuse for Not Ordaining Women

In an interview today with Swampland Jimmy Carter, the second worst president in US history, said the failure of the Catholic Church to ordain women was human rights abuse. He also compared the Catholic Church to Islam. and Acts of Apostasy reported, via Free Republic:

It’s not news when irrelevant people spout irrational opinions, because it happens nearly all the time, but hey – it’s been a slow day.

Let’s get right to it. This week the Carter Center’s Mobilizing Faith for Women conference will ask the question, “Can religion be a force for women’s rights instead of a source of women’s oppression?” What’s your answer?

Well, religion can be, and I think there’s a slow, very slow, move around the world to give women equal rights in the eyes of God. What has been the case for many centuries is that the great religions, the major religions, have discriminated against women in a very abusive fashion and set an example for the rest of society to treat women as secondary citizens. In a marriage or in the workplace or wherever, they are discriminated against. And I think the great religions have set the example for that, by ordaining, in effect, that women are not equal to men in the eyes of God.

This has been done and still is done by the Catholic Church ever since the third century.....

Because it's easier to let someone else do the thinking and just sit back and be told what to believe.When certain men insert themselves between that which "is a discerner of the thoughts and INTENTS of the heart" (a heart which we do not fully know and is deceitfull ABOVE ALL things and desperately wicked!)and those coming to God with their truck load of baggage then bad things can happen.When we take up the Sword of the Spirit the first person it slays is the bearer!The deceitfull (above all things) and wicked human heart knows this and would rather a steady diet of carnal commands.Where itself can remain in control,judging and weighing things the same way it always has,better that than death.

Guess I learned to think for myself from all the reading I have done since learning how to. I learned to decide for myself what was right and wrong. Grew up going to church 3 times a week. When I was in 5th grade, we could memorize verses or chapters of the Bible. If we did so many, we got a Bible. In high school, the students led a devotional and said a prayer. People today do not read like I did, so they hae no idea what is true and what isn’t. They just take the word of some character on a power kick. Is that why there are dems? It seems they have no idea of how to decide the truth. They want to be spoon fed. Am I making any sense? It is 4 here.

Jimmah rose from obscurity to fame, and fell back to obscurity in four years. He fell so fast because he was a senile old fool. He is even more of a senile old fool now. The Catholic church has been prominent in the world for two millennia. Whom do you want to believe, Jimmah, or the Pope?

I only ask because none of the Baptists I know best and respect (my dear in-laws) are "Carter's Baptists".

You’re making plenty of sense.

“Faith cometh by hearing” so whatever you’re hearing the most you’ll trust the most.It’s why propaganda works.

It amazes me as well that people seem to be happy to be spoon fed rather than buy that field and get to digging.

It was when I started reading the Bible I started to question everything AND everyone.In particular the numbskull in the mirror!

‘Belonging’ seems to be a powerfull motivator amongst humans but it also shows our ‘un-wholeness’ for ourselves and all to see.No doubt satan plays this to great advantage over people.Killing,stealing and destroying that which someone else deemed precious enough to lay down His very life for!
