I’ve actually enjoyed Pope Francis. Maybe he’s a protestant pope.

On the contrary, narses has indeed been banished from open threads....There's no more effective way to silence a prolific Catholic poster than this kind of vindictive, biased and punitive censorship, short of banning or suspending them.

I'm guessing that you missed this thread from a couple of weeks ago....

"Hey, Catholics: Do you know what you've done? You've chosen a Protestant pope...."

I don’t recall seeing it, but it sounds like a great idea! Stand on our common ground.

He was instructed to leave THAT thread, not all open RF threads.

But his refusal to comply resulted in his being put on "mute" which means the moderators on duty will review each of his comments before allowing them to be posted on thread.

It is a temporary situation. The "mute" will be lifted once it is apparent that he will no longer ignore moderator(s).

Logic would indicate that Alex is a moderator.

Click on Narses’ screen name in any reply by him or her. That will magically transport you to his or her FR profile page. If it’s still up then he or she has not been banned, you’d have gotten a message staing that instead of a profile page if being banned was indeed the case. The mods just couldn’t keep it secret any longer I guess, lol.

Many people feel that censorship is a violation of Freedom of Speech...Bull feathers...Censorship is NOT unconstitutional. Censors have the right to censor what you hear. The Bill of Rights says nothing about Freedom of Hearing. This, of course, takes alot of the fun out of the Freedom of Speech. Ha ha ha....Therefore, censorship does not interfere with the constitutional right of every American to sit alone in the dark, in the nude and cuss...

That’s nicer and with far less finality than being banned. Maybe gratitude is in order rather than high moral dudgeon and flinging inaccurate accusations?

I, for one, am glad for a brief respite from seeing the same set of old cartoons and that goofy POPIOS cereal box multiple times a day. It was getting worse than anything Quix ever did, in my opinion, and Quix actually, literally was banned, not just fitted with a temporary electronic muzzle.

Try to have a thankful heart, and not strain to see bigotry in every little thing.

Quix himself had been "muted" for several months (prior to his being banned), due to his repeated flamebait-worded posts concerning Catholicism. Now that it's happened to a Catholic poster who engaged in similar behavior re Protestants, we're told that "muting" is vindictive, biased and punitive censorship for which the moderators' consciences ought to be "burning".

Maybe Quix should be allowed to come back and resume his Technicolor posts, in the name of being "unbiased"?

Quix opused ... self-immolated ... committed seppuku ... and it had nothing to do with the misnamed and misbegotten “Religion Forum” ... he was hacked off over the 2012 Presidential election.
