Nowhere in Gods Commands or prophecies am I commanded to filter Gods Commands or prophecies through the lens of Paul or the lens of the pauline epistles. Neither am I commanded by Jesus Words to filter Jesus teachings through the lens of Paul or the lens of the pauline epistles.
Filtering Gods Commands and Jesus teachings through the lens of Paul corrupts and alters Gods Commands and Jesus teachings.
The christian construct and ideal of their cosmic and universal Jesus Christ is as paradigmatically different from the historical Galilean Jew as Obama is paradigmatically different from George Washington.
Two thirds of christianity places Pauls teachings equal to Jesus teachings and the other third of christianity places Pauls teachings above Jesus teachings. All of christianity places Pauls teachings above Gods Word.
It was men who placed Pauls teachings next to and equal to the teachings of Jesus.
When christianity realizes those things, then it will have a foothold, a basis for a winning argument against Atheists everywhere. Until then, the fractured ignorance of the universal religion will continue withering away.
Im going to go ahead an brag that I read Gods Words and Jesus teachings through the lens & filter of Gods Words.....just like Jesus tells me to do in his teachings.
Doing so leaves nothing unanswerable, there is no mystery, there is no fractured logic, and there certainly isnt any hint of hypocrisy.
Just like its not required by God, I certainly dont need any other lens or filter in which to understand Jesus teachings or Gods Word.

You’re already viewing these teachings through a lens, as they are revealed to you through an account written by several different people. I assume you have not received a vision of Jesus, so you already are seeing things through a lens. I, like you, assume the lens is clear because it is all we can do. We take the word of those who were with Jesus Christ on good faith, because (at least in my opinion) someone who had been a devout follower of the Risen Son would have no reason to pervert his word.
