Fair point, and that’s coming from someone who has trouble controlling himself when I’m here among FRiends and allies. Their side is quite masterful as portraying themselves as non-hateful and harmless.
Take Ellen for example, or Modern Family.. the homosexuals in those programs are shown as warm, humorous, family-oriented, “just-like-you-and-me” folks. They’re excellent at painting themselves as sympathetic characters, often to the point where those of us on the other side of the debate are often cast - by default - as hateful villains.
I’ve gotta work on this myself. We do ourselves no favors when we go over the top.. even though many of them deserve to be shamed and called-out for what they truly are.
To be clear, I’m not against call outs. We must speak the truth. I just think we have to try to do it respectfully.
And, trust me, I’m in no way saying I’m an angel...lol. Although I may be good in this area, I’m not so good in others.
The truth being that homosexuals so often defame anyone who agrees with them and do their best to hide the unhealthiness of their life style and the indifference to the health of others. I am reminded of the way that smoking was glamorized by Hollywood. There is an antismoking commercial which provides us a series of clips, ending with a gaunt, hairless, person in a wheelchair who shows how so many smokers miserable die from their habit. Who tells us that year after year, homosexuals are the most common victim of of HIV/AIds. How many billions of dollars do we spend keeping them alive?
