Reason #4549 for Summorum Pontificum (A real hoot!)

A priest friend sent this. I share it for your … edification.

One of the first things I thought of as I watched that is that the same crowd who like this stuff are the one’s who say that lace on a surplice suggests some kind of… you know…

LOL!

This is how they do it at Berkeley.

Please, someone, download this before it is removed.

This is the Newman Center at Cal Berkeley, enough said. Though I could get there easily, I refuse to set foot in the place, we go to Latin Mass.

Where is this? Surely to g&d it isn't a church building? This makes the LA Cathedral of St Ugly seem positively baroque in comparison.

It almost looks like the inside of a bomb shelter.

And what is that in the center? A beat up Jersey Wall?

The altar linen was placed on the floor immediately before being placed on the altar.

Incredible.

Was that an altar? I thought it was a Jersey wall.

What, a little too biblical for you guys???

Psa_150:4 Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs.

The architect made the place look like a bleak box, with narrow horizontal windows up at the ceiling level, because it’s supposed to be like the opening of the tomb when Jesus rises on Easter. It’s actually a thoughtful concept, but in execution, it doesn’t come across with the resurrection joy that was intended.

Sorry, it still looks more like one of these:

than the inside of a church.

Is that Nancy Pelosi's home church?

(There is a rumor going around that Nancy intends to add a few new wrinkles to next year's Easter Vigil dance. For starters, the music they dance to will be different next year. The new musical entries expected next year are rumored to include "Whole Lotta Shakin' Going On", "Bend Over, Let Me See You Shake A Tail Feather", and "Shake Your Booty". It is further rumoured that Catholic luminaries Joe Biden and Kathleen Sebelius are solemnly looking forward to attending that church next Easter with Nancy...)

My second question is:    Was this dancing related in any way to the effort in California to push forward the "same-sex-marriage" agenda?

(NYer, you have to get those Maronites to send out some more missionaries to a lot of places in the USA, as obviously a lot of churches here could use some major liturgical adjustments!)

The Bible also says that all males should be circumcised.

"Every male among you shall be circumcised." (Genesis 17:10)

(However, like the Biblical quotation you cited, it doesn't say that it should be done in Church.)

Doesn't say it shouldn't be either...Maybe it was meant for when you hit the local bar???
