Too bad that the vast majority of Christians today don't follow the Sabbath on the Seventh Day as Jesus did.
They believe they do but they don't.
Just ask any Orthodox Jew what day of week the Sabbath is.

It is wrong to proclaim that Jesus is the son of God and say that the Sabbath must be kept. This clearly indicates that you do not understand Covenants.
In Genesis, you are partial correct about man being the pinnacle of God's achievements. The reason that God says He rested on the seventh day is to indicate that man was create in the image and likeness of God. What more is there to create when man was created in the image and likeness of perfection Himself? If is not for physical rest, this is a childish way of thinking.
In Christ,
Joao
