Seattle police arrested a local man for sexually assaulting a woman at the St. Spiridon Russian Orthodox Cathedral Sunday after they say he twice assaulted a woman in the pews during the service.
Police arrested 37-year-old Aaron Little around 9:30 Sunday morning. The rector of the church, Father Yuri Maev, told KIRO 7 that Little lifted the skirt of a 25-year-old woman sitting in front of him when the parishoners stood up during the service. She had no idea it happened, but her relatives saw it and two of them hauled Little outside.
But police say, Little went right back in thru a side door and sat down next to the same woman before her relatives got back. Then police say he lifted her skirt and groped her. This time her relatives took him outside and called police.
Father Maev says Little first showed up last Sunday asking to sleep in the church. He suggested a shelter, but Little refused to leave so they called police to have him removed.
Surprisingly, he said Little's assault was hardly noticed because the woman's relatives quickly and quietly hustled him out of the church.
Little is a registered sex offender with a 2002 conviction for sexual assault in California. Hes in the King County jail now without bond.
They told the guy to come to church. What did they expect?
Drugs.
Mighty Christian for them not to beat the tar out of the man. Not sure I could show the same restraint.
I joke about it, but in reality I'm on the same page.
I’ve known lots of good Christian men that would have prayed “Lord forgive me” with every broken bone.
Yep! Someone has to take out the trash.
Hey, back in the day when I used to go to church, I did that and it turned out surprisingly well.
I married one and stayed that way for 25.5 years. 2 children, 4 grandchildren so far.
