On the one hand, the world will never be satisfied–until Christians completely renounce their faith. More importantly, the Lord will never bless such unfaithfulness to Him and His Word. We see from the sad example of what’s happened to the ELCA–the biggest split in American church history–that whatever churches and other organizations such as the Boy Scouts imagine they will gain by giving in to the world is dwarfed by what they will surely lose.

Sadly, this has become true for many “Christians”. I was at a Via de Cristo event a few months ago and two people were wearing a rainbow button with “ELCA” on it. The gay agenda has replaced the gospel for people like that.
This is also true of the Episcopal, Methodist and Presbyterian churches as well as many others. Their love has waxed cold.
These idiots think they are being nice to a downtrodden piece of humanity. In reality they are giving their souls to the devil.
certainly we can love homosexuals and try to help them, but not by advancing their perversion into normality and trapping other into their perversions.
Especially children should be sheltered from these mentally ill people. Teeat homosexuals like you would treat any other sick people, but do not think that accepting their sickness is going to help them. It will only condemn you.

I have not left the Lutheran Church. But clearly, this part of the Lutheran Church has left me.
The primary mission of ANY Christian church is to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This denomination has subordinated that mission to something else, focusing on forgiving the sin, even celebrating it, while doing nothing to reform the sinner.

Yes...I was senior warden of a very old Episcopal church in Tennessee, before the gays started taking over.
A gay priest was put in charge, just before I bailed out of the church and the USSA.
I gather that many Episcopalians headed for the Anglican church.
The state of Christian churches is just more evidence of the total decay of America. I have no plans to ever return.
And the Lord shall say, “Depart from me. I never knew you”
These ‘mainline’ liberal churches are continuing to rot from the inside out. Good riddance to filth.
We’ve been members of Methodist, Lutheran and Congregational - all have yielded. The church I grew up in (Lutheran, Missouri Synod) switched to ELCA. We have since joined the Orthodox Presbyterian Church and what a relief to be in a scripture focused church again.

The OPC is a good solid denomination and a sister church to the one I’m in (PCA). Glad to read you found it.
The burgeoning population of lesbians in ELCA seminaries is a problem. The church leaders have been foisting them off on small rural congregations in order to avoid angering the big givers in large congregations. However, no one wants Rev. Jane and her “wife” living in the parsonage, so they quit coming to church and another congregation is destroyed.
Satan is laughing all the way to the desecrated altars. God moves another lamp stand to Africa.
One thing we can hope for is that this sexual freedom movement serves to unite disparate Christians: Catholics, Evangelical Free, Baptist, Orthodox, those rejected by the mainlines...

I have stopped going to Church, for now. Haven’t gone since the ELCA synod decided to promote sin.
The ordination of women as pastors is the first stage of the rot.
If you’re not faithful to the Bible’s definition of who is qualified for the office of pastor, then everything else is up for grabs.
the SBC has its own share with the cooperative baptist fellowship. they believe in the acceptance of women as pastors. i know some friends in the cbf that have posted the = sign of their facebook accounts in suppport of the gay/lesbian agenda.
Liberal Baptists like Jimmy Carter and the CBF are an enigma to me. They believe sodomy and abortions are OK but infant baptism is sinful? :?
Amen, brother! The ELCA is no longer a denomination. It is a Babylonian Cult.
Please find another church. Don’t deny yourself the blessing of a Biblically Orthodox congregation and hearing God’s Word preached.
