Is this what you think? It is certainly not what the Church teaches....or is this another attempt to construct a straw man to sidetrack from the original error you seem to have made regarding the word “Catholic” not being used until “centuries” later.

Then why did the pope say: you don’t have to be a believer to go to heaven or sin is whatever you think it is?
Not getting what the Catholic church teaches to what their leader says.
