They should have Bulldozed the place down and buried pigs every 100 feet on the property, before giving it over to Satan.
Oh good Lord, words fail me.
I'm actually surprised that boys and girls are in the same room.
Hajia Sophia....and then there is this

As a youngster, I was taught by the Sisters of St. Joseph....in a school that my and my friends’ parents built....which has also now been sold off.

My response to this story:
Some things are basic to the faith, whether catholic or protestant...
and that is:
There is no God but God, and Jesus Christ is the Son of God, the Messiah.
To open the school to those who do not ascribe to this, is spiritual treason against the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

This is right in my neck of the woods. The Academy of St. Joseph closed a few years ago because of low enrollment.
Now, there are many reasons for declining enrollment at Catholic schools, and on Long Island, there is no doubt that property (school) taxes are among them. When you are paying about $15k/year in property (school) taxes, it is difficult indeed to scrape together the $$$$ for Catholic education.
That said, St. Joseph’s is the only Catholic high school that has closed in several years. The last one I can remember was the LaSalle Military Academy, which closed about 10 years ago (after they started admitting girls).
I have no doubt that the squishy theology taught by the Sisters of St. Joseph has a TON to do with it. That order has truly gone chug-chug-chugging right ‘round the bend. They are big into the Mother Earth new-ageism stuff.
Who would want to spend a bundle of cash on a “Catholic” education that is only barely Catholic? No me, that’s for sure.
Regards,
PS: It is an absolute disgrace that the school has gone over to the Muslims. An absolute disgrace.
Heaven & Hell?
File it under “Suicide of the West.”
Fools...
My HS alma mater is Sacred Heart Academy in Hempstead, NY which is run by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Brentwood. These sisters were once strict disciplinarians. Post VCII, they emerged as ultra progressives. That they turned St. Joseph's Academy over to Muslims comes as no surprise.
The (former) Academy of Saint Joseph, founded in 1856 and operational through 2009, was a private Catholic school conducted by the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Brentwood, New York. Situated on a beautiful 200 acre campus, it was accredited by the New York State Board of Regents and by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and the National Catholic Educational Association . For over 150 years, it offered quality education to students throughout Long Island.
Here are the sisters before VCII
And here they are today ...
And .. yes ... their community is part of the LCWR.
