Do you ever get tired of sounding like a liberal?

At least there's wide diversity within the same umbrella in which I post...You? You post the same words over & over & over & over again...and nothing else (at least nothing else expressed to me...You can't get more "Jimmy one note" than your posts)

I wholeheartedly agree. We have many LDS neighbors and they are wonderful people with whom I disagree on matters of faith.

Agree.

Very patriotic to a man, responsible home owners, well-behaved kids.

South Park “mocks” Mormons for their wholesomeness and family values. That says a lot.

I would much rather prefer to have a Mormon family as a neighbor living next door then an anti-Mormon person.

Mormon standards of behavior are much more similar to those of Christians and Jews than to those of (observant) Muslims. Those strange (to us) side beliefs bother me a lot less than the SJS (Sudden Jihad Syndrome) that may potentially affect a Muslim neighbor. No question who I'd prefer.

There is quite a stark contrast between Christian martyrs who – in virtually every case – trusted God enough to welcome their death and Joseph Smith who so lacked belief in his own “religion” that he was terrified of dying.

Nobody outside of Islam and some far east religions "welcomes" death. They accept it, yes, but even Christ asked of the Father that the cup might pass Him by.

As for suicide, that would blow away the "terrified of dying" statement. Those in great fear of death don't kill themselves.

I, on the other hand, would much rather having a neighbor willing to tell the truth than one who goes about enabling others in their hurtful lies.

A lie is only a lie if you know and believe it to be untrue. A true believer in any religion cannot be said to be lying unless he knows the statement to be untrue.

Good way to counter his argument. Right up there with “what does it really matter”

“I contend that we are both atheists. I just believe in one fewer god than you do. When you understand why you dismiss all the other possible gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours.”

When you understand that the theistic definition of God doesn’t allow for the existence of multiple gods, then you will understand why that quote is nonsense.

If Anti-Mormon you mean some one that thinks the church of joseph smith is not true, then you have a lot of good and bad people of many faiths to choose from.

If you mean Anti-Mormon as in .. I will now call any one that disagrees with me a bigot.. well sorry that is a poor stance to defend.
