This matter is supposed to apply to all Christianity, as well as Judaism. Malachi 2:16 is even clearer than the two verses that precede it.
A COMMANDMENT which puts those at risk, who wish to judge the validity of any divorced and remarried Catholic.
There is no “public record” of annulments, or Church decisions in the “External Forum”
And the Church does INDEED recognize the role of conscience and the “Internal Forum”.
The key words in ALL Vatican communications is “Sacramental Valid Marriage”.
An “External Forum” or Annulment through a Church Tribunal does not DESOLVE any marriage. Such a Tribunal simply affirms the validity of a Marriage, or finds that the Marriage was not Sacramental or Valid.
There are MILLIONS of Catholics who know in their mind, heart and soul, in their “Internal Forum” -— in their own conscience, that their Marriage was NOT valid, Sacramentaly.
Those of you who choose to judge such people are violating a Commandment, yourselves!
