To: NoExpectations

I was in line for Confession awhile back, and a young woman approached me, asking what “that” was..she told me she was not Catholic, but had come in out of curiousity a couple of months before, and was so powerfully drawn to “that”, she returned often, just to sit there, next to it.

The “That” was the Tabernacle (off to the side/away from the Altar in this wreckovated Church). I was blown away that this person, with no familiarity with Catholicism, our customs, or beliefs was drawn to Jesus in Repose, and at some level knew “that” is very important, and powerful.

Most of the Catholics who attend that Parish don’t even genuflect to the Tabernacle when they walk past.

Great story. I hope you see her again, someday, walking up to Communion! :)
