Tradition is not talking about the Jewish law. The definition of Holy Tradition is truth that was handed down one person to another, face to face.
You are confusing the definitions of tradition.
What *Holy Tradition* was passed down one person to another, face to face?
How do we know it was taught by the apostles?
How do we know that it was handed down faithfully without corruption?
What are your sources to verify this teaching and belief and to verify the integrity of the traditions that were handed down supposedly from the apostles? That what is taught today is the same as what was taught by the apostles?
I am not confused about defining law and tradition. I think we could continue bickering over nuances, but again the Word of God stands forever and is flawless. Man not so much. It matters not what church fathers think/thought it matters only what God has said.
I think the point is at the time of the First Advent, Jesus encountered man-made traditions which were choking out the actual Law He gave Moses on Sinai. To the point that the real meaning of the Law handed down by Him to Moses was lost in puritanical edicts, ceremony and word of mouth tradition.
I think that is the point. Do we as Roman Catholics, Protestants, Quakers, Messianic Christians, Evangelicals---Those who profess Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, have man-made traditions that are "choking out" the pure Gospel Message of the Finished Work of Jesus Christ and immediately preached after Pentecost by His apostles?
