Deputy Milonov Proposes Easing Receipt of Russian Citizenship for "Spiritually Insulted" Europeans

St. Petersburg, December 4, Interfax - Vitaly Milonov, the chairman of the St. Petersburg parliament's legislation committee, has sent an appeal to the Russian Foreign Ministry and Federal Migration Service proposing a simplification of the procedure of obtaining Russian citizenship for Europeans, who have been insulted spiritually and culturally in their countries.

A simplification of the procedure of granting a living permit and Russian citizenship to foreign citizens, whose right to live according to traditional cultural and spiritual values are being infringed upon by the authorities of the country they reside in, has been proposed, Milonov told Interfax on Wednesday.

The right of families to live and bring up children in accordance with their traditional belief system and in the spirit of traditional family values is intentionally violated by many Western countries, Milonov said.

So, persecuted Christians have a better chance of gaining aslyum in Russia than America. Well, at least it gives a ray of hope to those German home schoolers.

What a genuinely kind thing to lobby for. Observant Christians in Sweden who don’t want to live in a society where pedophiles can adopt, now have a place to go. Hope this extends to the US soon. There are a LOT of us here, we don’t vote communist, and we are being persecuted by the Justice Dept., FFR Foundation, and Obama.

my thought also- how about european descendents?

omg, imagine the potential economic boom in Russia if it encouraged entreprenurial hard working Americans to come settle there? Could the heavy cold indifferent paranoid bureaucracy of the old statism really be replaced?

I appreciate the thought and the resurgence of Christianity in Russia, however it still is one of the most secular countries in the world. They have the highest abortion rate (even though it has been dropping) and it is run by an egomaniacal gangster who imprisons or murders those who speak out against him.

No thanks.

Thus I like the way this guy Milonov is trolling an LGBT crowd there, there is something fishy about him as well. I guess he is a ‘Christian’ of that same kind as their Army chaplains offering captured insurgents to kiss a cross and be bayoneted without trial for a chance of being ‘blessed by Lord’ or stay muslim and be torn apart by using chains fixed to a couple of IFVs.

The wording is kind of weird. Spiritually insulted?

The Ukrainian word for "no" is pronounced "nji" (phonetic transcription) - sort of like "nyeh."

"Yes" is "tak."

As if Russia wasn't largely responsible for that!
