To: Salvation
Nor a false hope. Christ tells us at the Ascension: “I will be with you always.” And I know you believe the words of Christ.

Good hermeneutics needed here Sal.. THIS was not a GENERAL promise , but a promise to the disciples.. Christ will be there for sure..but as JUDGE not Savior

I’ve always put forth that while we are alive Christ is perfect mercy. At the moment of our death, Christ becomes perfect justice.

Are you saying that at the Ascension Christ is telling only the disciples and apostles there that he will be with them.

I think it is a promise to all of us.

Is it in one of Paul’s letters or in a Gospel where Christ says not to worry about what to say, for he would supply the words — in a way, Christ will be with them?
