What is a “traditional” Catholic?

I am a Latin Rite (Roman) Catholic. I have friends who are Maronite Catholics and friends who are Chaldean Catholics and a friend who is a Melkite Catholic.

Some of my extended family members attend the Byzantine Rite.

We are all Catholic.

All of us are “Marian” Catholics.

I am a lay Carmelite and have served for many years in the Legion of Mary.

I do not choose to make unfounded accusations about our Holy Father.

None of my accusations have been “unfounded”. I have 2000 years of foundation.

From Pope Francis on at WYD on July 28:

“The Pelagian solution. This basically appears as a form of restorationism. In dealing with the Church’s problems, a purely disciplinary solution is sought, through the restoration of outdated manners and forms which, even on the cultural level, are no longer meaningful. In Latin America it is usually to be found in small groups, in some new religious congregations, in (exaggerated) tendencies to doctrinal or disciplinary ‘safety’. Basically it is static, although it is capable of inversion, in a process of regression. It seeks to ‘recover’ the lost past.”
