This message is for everyone on the thread.

If a person is a homosexual, then turns to Christ but yet struggles with the sin, I got news for you they are indeed saved and they are going to heaven. When a person is truly saved their mind will change such that they do not accept their sins any longer (even though they might struggle with those sins even after believing).

The key is that the mind changes (metanoia in the Greek) the moment someone gets saved. God does not expect perfect obedience, if God did than there is no need of grace through the shed blood of Jesus Christ and we are all condemned, because we cannot meet the requirements of God's law on our own and by our own merit.

In other words the saved person will cry for mercy for their sins and not say the opposite which would be something along the lines of "God thinks my sins are OK".

The Gospel does not match your understanding of what it means to be "Born Again".

This "Gospel" that you have accepted as truth, does not bring Victory over sin, but accepts sin in the believer's life. God, and Christ are not accepting of sin in the believer's life and it was for this express purpose that Christ died on the cross, to give us power over the sin in our lives, not just in our minds, but in our hearts as well.

The Gospel you preach is a dead Gospel, it is not a rejuvenating Gospel, the Gospel that the Apostle Paul preached where in Chapter 8 of Romans he states unequivocally that there is now NO MORE condemnation to those that are in Christ Jesus.

Condemnation, as Paul proves in Chapter 7 of Romans, comes from sin, if there is no more condemnation, then there is no more sin.

For further proof, read 1 John 2:1-10

1. My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.

4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.

6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

7 Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which ye had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which ye have heard from the beginning.

8 Again, a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true in him and in you: because the darkness is past, and the true light now shineth.

9 He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now.

10 He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him.

When we sin, we are no longer in fellowship with God or Christ as the Apostle John points out.

If we sin, we have an advocate, because as the bible states, God is married to the backslider, but don't let yourself believe that if you are sinning, you are still saved, you are not.

The “moment someone gets saved” is at the last trump when yeshua comes in the cloud with his angels to gather us up. No one is saved before that. There is absolutely nothing in scripture that calls out any other moment.

Our salvation is a hope for the future, carried out through confession, repentance, and walkout to righteousness, enduring to the end.

Here is what the word says :

Romans 1:

[18] For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
[19] Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
[20] For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
[21] Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
[22] Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
[23] And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
[24] Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
[25] Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
[26] For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
[27] And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
[28] And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
[29] Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
[30] Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
[31] Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
[32] Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

Romans 2:

[1] Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.
[2] But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things.
[3] And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?
[4] Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?
[5] But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;
[6] Who will render to every man according to his deeds:
[7] To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:
[8] But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,
[9] Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;
[10] But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile:
[11] For there is no respect of persons with God.
[12] For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;
[13] (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.
[14] For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:
[15] Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;)

Where in there do you see a "moment of salvation?"

It is a life long process of conforming to righteousness in Yeshua.
