Who has the most power seems to matter, and it would seem that the homosexual minority has the power.

Well.... The homosexual minority is a majority in most of the forms of the news and entertainment media.

The news and entertainment media is the 'power'.

We give it power much like the Romans who went to watch at the coliseum. We're even sacrificing the Christians, just like they did. Pretty much for the same reason.
