"Joel Osteen and Rick Warren are in for themselves."

While I certainly have my differences with Rick Warren, I don't think he belongs in the same category as Osteen. Generally, Warren gives a pretty orthodox Christian account of himself when he's on these news programs. It's what he does when there are no cameras around and his for-profit programs and money schemes that gives me problems. Osteen doesn't give a biblical Christian witness in ANY arena. I have sincerely doubts that he's ever even read the entire bible. He comes off to me as a feel good, prosperity, motivational speaker who tries to cloth himself in Christian wrappings.

It seems to me the problem with these mega pseudo-Christians it that they are much more concerned about not offending anyone than preaching the whole Gospel. This despite that fact that the NT repeatedly says that the Gospel with be offensive to the world - you can't preach the true Gospel without offending the world. That may be bad for the pocketbook but it's great for the soul.

What about Warren’s giving Clinton/Gore a platform to speak, when they were advocating abortion, and Warren could not muster the courage to ASK a question about it?

Blood on HIS hands JUST to draw a crowd.
