CANTERBURY, England The number of Roman Catholic adherents in England and Wales fell by more than 90,000 in 2012, despite a wave of immigrants from Poland and other Eastern European countries with historically Catholic backgrounds.

Well no kidding, but I believe that the bigger problem was the way the ‘church’ responded when it was informed of incidents. No thought for the congregation or the people abused, only for the protection of the inner circle.

The truth comes out now — it was never the holy teachings of the Church that kept them in the fold but the example of unholy leaders that made them decide to leave.
Again, placing man over God.

This may indicate that immigrants from Catholic countries are not retaining their faith once in Britain.
I agree. I believe there was little the Roman Catholic church could have done to prevent Sodomites from infiltrating their ranks and their seminaries. But the reaction of the hierarchy when these abuses were discovered was abominable and inexcusable.
