Essentially in “saving” our lives we exhibit a faithlessness which proves we’re not saved, that we compromise the Word and call God a liar, that we’re the Matthew 7:21-23 deluded. In “losing” our lives we exhibit a faithfulness which is proof of our salvation, that we love and fear God more than men.
