Today's Scripture
I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live. Deuteronomy 30:19, NKJV.
Today's Word from Joel and Victoria
Did you know that with your words you can either bless your future or curse your future? Your words have creative power. If you want to know what your life is going to be like five years from now, just listen to what youre saying about yourself today. Too many people go around saying, Ill never get well. Ill never get out of debt. Its flu season. Ill probably get it. This marriage is never going to last. Then they wonder why they dont see things turn around. Its because theyre calling defeat into their future. Theyre calling in mediocrity. Dont let that be you!
When you get up in the morning, no matter how you feel, no matter what things look like, instead of using your words to describe your situation, use your words to change your situation. Make a declaration of faith by saying, This is going to be a great day. I have Gods favor. Hes directing my steps. When you do that, you are choosing life for your future. You are calling in favor, increase and opportunities. Your words are coming into alignment with Gods Words, and when you align yourself with God, Hell lead you into victory and blessing all the days of your life.
A Prayer for Today
Father, I commit my words to You today and choose to bless my future. Thank You for directing my steps. I keep my heart and mind focused on You in Jesus name. Amen.
This has been my way of thinking for the last 35-40 years, and my life has been blessed. I especially have used this about my health. Folks hear me say all the time, “I never get sick”, and I don’t. If I do get a slight cold, I say, “this won’t last but a day.” and it doesn’t. Sure I am old and with age the body gets less able to correct itself, but I will go out trying to force it to correct by “thought” therapy. This is not a pie-in-the-sky theory. Our thoughts truly do control the state of our “being”. Proverbs 23:7, “As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.”
