This reminds me of the self proclaimed exorcists.... it’s the title of another active thread right now...
“Nigerian Pastor Tries to Walk on Water Like Jesus, Then Drowns in Front of His Congregation”
You do not self proclaim to be an exorcist.... It’s not a job or title one should seek. However when it is thrust upon you when you did not ask for it, assume it is His Will and go with the flow.
When I started doing it in the early 1990’s, it seemed like each dark spirit I encountered was higher and more powerful. I met the big bad guy one night, and turned to Michael and said, “There he is, you can get him.” To which Michael replied, “It’s not time yet.”
That is when I realized that God is in control, even in control of satan. God is using satan for a purpose and everything is unfolding exactly according to God’s plan. That night I stopped my war on satan’s minions and only deal with them when it appears to be a Divine Coincidence. (I define a “Coincidence” as an event where God chooses to remain anonymous.)
Recently I have noticed a big increase in the number of weeds wandering around and attaching to people.... The big economic and political turmoil ahead is being created by the “weeds” in order for them to hide in the emotional wheat field. Some of you may understand this.
wow. very well put. the gifts and power from God is not for self-glory, as those who try, learn the hard way. Plus I’m glad you put in perspective the order of things. Too many Christians fall trap to the worldly view that somehow Satan and God are just equal and opposite. Nothing is further from the truth.
Keep up the good work. (as in obedience when summoned and humility as your cloak.)
You might find this interesting:
..."The author of the book we are about to discuss is convinced that the trials endured by Antoine Gay had a divine purpose, or, as we should call it, a finality, similar to that shown in the case of Helene Poirier. As in the case of Bernadette Soubirous, this purpose might be seen as the intention of proving the existence of the supernatural in a world increasingly given to doubt and incredulity. In other words, the answer to the often quoted saying of Baudelaire: 'The Devil's deepest wile is to persuade us that he does not exist.' The trick could lead us into mortal danger. The Devil desires nothing better than to be free to act without being recognised. But God does not permit this. He is obliged, willy-nilly, to reveal himself. The facts we are about to repeat are a case in point..."
Michael who, the Archangel?
It sounds like God wants Satan to do what he is doing.
Is God enabling Satan? Satan is doing a lot of harm to the human race. Why would God allow, or even facilitate, that?
