Boali (Central African Republic) (AFP) - Small children and women in colourful headscarves cluster around the altar, bundles of their belongings piled high near a statue of the Virgin Mary.
In the Central African town of Boali, the local church has become a refuge for some 700 Muslims fleeing a flare-up in sectarian violence, part of a nationwide wave of unrest unleashed by a coup last March.
"Boali the resplendent welcomes you" reads a sign at the entrance to the town, famed for its waterfalls around 100 kilometres (60 miles) north of the capital Bangui.
A few metres into town, Saint-Peter's parish offers a potent symbol of a country-wide tragedy: fear and hatred pitting Christian against Muslim, neighbour against neighbour, alleviated here and there by lone acts of kindness.
No one knows for sure what touched off the fighting last Friday, but it has left at least seven people dead -- six Muslims and one Christian -- and several homes in ruins.
Here, like elsewhere, the arrival of French troops charged with disarming the Muslim fighters terrorising the mostly-Christian country, has left Muslim civilians exposed to reprisals.
But the French troops says the violence was already raging when they reached the town.

It is like the parable of the turtle and the frog crossing the river except the Muslims don't seem to die in equal numbers because too many Christians are blinded to the truth.

As a Christian the Bible compels you do to this. There is no opt-out.
I am prepared that one day I may have to shelter Muslims in my attic Anne Frank style when they push the Jihad too far and are being hunted down in the streets.
I’m not familiar with the “parable of the turtle and the frog”. Sounds similar to Aesop’s Fable of the Scorpion and the Frog. Is It?

Call me a poor Christian if you like, but I haven’t seen any muslims sheltering Christians from muslim atrocities...so if faced with the possibility of sheltering muslims from a fate they tacitly endorsed due to their silence and failure to “take back” their faith, looks like I’m opting out.
There are just some things I can’t and won’t let go...so to hell I go...because islam isn’t a religion, it’s a theocratic form of government and those who stood by and watched in silence from the sidelines or meekly squeeked about “moderate islam” are just as guilty as those who use dull knives to saw off heads or gang rape, mutilate, torture and desecrate their victims.
Jews were the victims, they did not engage in the types of behavior that muslims do. Muslims have made their bed...they can lie in it.
