It is very black and white.

It’s not, Geron.

Why cannot those who favor the baby being born and raised not convince the mother of the righteousness of that position?

Why do they seek to use force of law?

Do you know what really bothers me about this, Geron? I’m going to tell you.

In a normal ideal situation, a man comes to a woman and says will you make a family with me. Do you view me as a good husband and a potential good father figure? Will you be my wife and the mother of our children?

He gets her consent, and then he proceeds.

The rapist, on the other hand, takes what he wants without regard to any consequence be it on her, or him or any potential baby that may be made in the process.

He does not get consent. He simply proceeds, and should a baby result from that act, he is basically saying you will be left with this burden to bear, it is yours to deal with, I’ll not be here.

Those who wish to then tell this victim you will bear this child are essentially doing the same thing.

They are in effect declaring her biological processes theirs, and directing her through force of law that she will proceed in this way whether she agrees to it or not.

What is the difference between what the rapist did and what the person telling her she must bear the child is doing?

I’ll tell you what the similarity is.

The similarity is that neither the rapist nor the person telling her she must bear the rapist’s child bothered to obtain her consent.

I can’t abide that.
