Oh, come on! It isn't like they support abortion or anything! /s.
Thanks for posting.
We’ve come a long way, baby.
In 1940 Planned Parenthood was not in the abortion business.
As a matter of fact Margaret Sanger, who yes was a crackpot who believed in all sorts of birth control, did not advocate abortion.
While there are cases where even the law recognizes an abortion as justifiable if recommended by a physician, I assert that the hundreds of thousands of abortions performed in America each year are a disgrace to civilization.[7]
In her 1938 autobiography, Sanger notes that her 1916 opposition to abortion was based on the taking of life:
To each group we explained what contraception was; that abortion was the wrong wayno matter how early it was performed it was taking life; that contraception was the better way, the safer wayit took a little time, a little trouble, but was well worth while in the long run, because life had not yet begun.[8]
“Planned Parenthood honors this woman, an unequivocal racist and eugenicist, as a trailblazer and hero of women, particularly poor and ethnic women, and the most noteworthy socio-political cause they champion [abortion], she opposed”

Without question, abortion is a despicable evil practice that destroys the life of another human being. And lest there be any doubt, it is truly offensive to God. Indeed, the taking of any life is offensive to God, because His plan was to have that human life exist in this world with the opportunity to know, love and serve Him until He decides that He wants theyre life should come to a close.
But that being said, does not the act of birth control offend God in precisely the same way? True, the life that God was allowing to be conceived had not yet reached the point of being declared a human life by society; but in the eyes of God, was it not His plan that the life should be conceived? And if so, who are we to thwart the will of God? Perhaps its difficult to equate the taking of a life with that of preventing a life, but that is because we are ignoring the singular reason as to why God has created usto know love and serve Him with all of our heart, mind and soul.
It is necessary for faithful Catholics to focus on the evil of birth control at this time because the bishops of the Catholic Church have all but completely ignored it for 50 years. As a result, many otherwise faithful Catholics are doing the same thing. Great umbrage is taken by the bishops and priests as they piously march along in the Right to Life Marches, but you hear not a word from them on the terribly offensive and mortal sin of practicing birth control.
These bishops have permitted, sometime even encouraged, their priests to ignore this sin and allow the people in the pews to falsely believe that theyre committing no wrong. For these bishops and priests it is a sin of omissiona sin that is every bit as great as the sin of commission. There is no doubt that our societies are in economic turmoil because of the declining birth rate, but far more important than that, the practice of artificial birth control is an enormous offense against God. I pray that each and every one of these bishops and priests wake up in time.
