Ever since I learned that Mormons believe that Jesus and Lucifer were BROTHERS, I have given up on ANY respect for the Mormon faith. Where DID they get THAT particular lie? From the father of all lies? I wouldn’t be surprised.

I bet you had a knee jerk reaction, did you ever think to pray and asked the Lord for more understanding or like so many just jump to conclusion and try not to realized that this must of had something to do with the War I Heaven.
There would have been no war in Heaven if Lucifer was not part of the spirit family at one time, and who was toss out...
It is all right there in the scriptures for those who are able to see the complete story. Some when reading the scriptures it never dawns on them what they are reading how it comes alive when it click to one what actually was happening and how it fits into the scheme of things.
Lucifer was part of the Morning starts the spirit Sons of God who shouted for Joy.
But pride and enmity filled Lucifer spirit as one reads how this unfolds.
Job 38
7 When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?

12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

The name means the Shining One or Lightbearer. He is also known as the Son of the Morning. Lucifer was a spirit son of Heavenly Father and led the rebellion in the premortal life. The name Lucifer appears only once in the Bible (Isa. 14:12). Latter-day revelation gives more detail on Lucifer’s fall (D&C 76:25–29).

I asked several people I knew about this. Three were Mormon, one being my uncle, my mother's brother.
I asked priests and I asked friends. The folks I asked did NOT understand the Mormon take on the Jesus-Lucifer brother question...even the Mormons.
But, YOU assumed, perhaps, that I didn't ask anyone. You "bet" I had a knee jerk reaction...well, initially I did then ASKED people. Maybe YOU assume things you ought not to have assumed.
Maybe it DID have something to do with the war in heaven. Maybe it didn't. Who knows for sure. That STILL doesn't answer the question WHY the Mormons, who are not considered Christians by most Christians, that PART of the faith's beliefs is that Jesus, God, and Lucifer, a created being, an angel, are brothers. Doesn't make much sense to me. Does it to you?
