Syracuse Catholic Churches Hold Workshops on How to Promote ‘Trans Rights’

SYRACUSE, NY, February 26, 2014 (LifeSiteNews.com) – As the debate over transgenderism grows across the country, two Catholic churches are holding what local news calls a “series of talks on what it's like to be transgender.”

The talks, which are sponsored by All Saints Catholic Church and St. Lucy's Catholic Church, were organized by the All Saints LGBT Task Force and “volunteers from Family Allies for Trans Equality in New York State.” They will all be held at the All Saints Parish's Bishop Harrison Center.

The events will conclude with an all-day workshop March 8, tackling topics such as “Understanding Transgender” and “Becoming an Effective Ally for Trans Rights.” Empire State Pride Agenda will also have a presence through Sheilah Sable, who will present on legal concerns related to the lives of transgender people.

The Diocese of Syracuse did not return a request for comment on the speaker/workshop series and whether the workshops and presentations violate Church teachings. Empire State Pride Agenda is an organization with a long history of supporting same-sex “marriage” and other issues at odds with Church doctrine.

The Catholic Church in New York State has long stood against same-sex “marriage." In 2011, shortly after the state legalized marriage licenses for homosexual couples, Cardinal Timothy Dolan – then Archbishop Dolan – said he and the Church in that state were “deceived” about the chances of a same-sex “marriage” bill becoming law.

I remember Flip Wilson, The Church of What’s Happening Now. What’s the Bishop doing, vacationing in Rome?

This what happens when the Pope refuses to purge homosexual priests. They remain and become bolder. The Pope does not have the luxury of being “non judgmental”. Unless he acts in a definitive manner, the vile molestation of young boys by decadent homosexual priests will continue.

It is what happens when the Majority let the minority force sue their way into being accepted as mainstream.

Why do you think they pick on businesses like Hobby Lobby, wedding cake bakers, and Evangelical Churches, and states where it is still illegal to try and get married in. You could sue the pants off a church or business and bankrupt them, it forces them to give in.

When there are businesses and churches that cater to them. They could take their business there, and no one would mind.

This is all about POWER just as RAPE is.

Who is paying for it? Are your tithes going to support this garbage? Love the sinner, you do not have to facilitate the sin.

It is more than the priests, although this would not be possible if they upheld the Word of God. New York has a very large Catholic population, and they are predominantly liberal. Sadly, Christians in NY are little more than a huge itching ear society. Many protestant denominations are no different. The ELCA has been smiling and enjoying their slippery slope ride for decades.

None of this should be a surprise to anyone who has spent time learning about the adversary, and we are powerless against him without Jesus Christ and the indwelling Holy Spirit.

I concur. I'm not Catholic, just pointing out what the Catholic church has now become. And they will cloak this effort in with Mother Teresa as giving aid and comfort to the most down trodden in society. In fact, they are facilitating sin.

Archbishop Dolan – said he and the Church in that state were “deceived” about the chances of a same-sex “marriage” bill becoming law.

They appeared to have their faith in the secular humanism govt to follow the Word of God...

Now, that isnt being ‘deceived’.. that is called misplaced faith...

I couldn’t find where it says the Catholic Church as a whole is supporting this. It says a gay group is using the church to meet. Thus the church is “sponsoring”. Many churches have outreach to the gay community, not to support their sin but to save them from it. If they infiltrate and use a room for their purposes and then call the press to report what they claim is supported or sponsored by the church sounds like a tactic like Alynski. I don’t know anything about these parishes but I can assure you the Pope didn’t sanction it. The Church is obviously under attack by satan and his demonic servants in in the press in a big way. It will survive.

The All Saints LGBT ‘Task Force’ at the All Saints Church is hosting it...

Looks like the church is neck up in it, unless a ‘task force’ with the churches namesake attached to it is just a coincidence..

It appears to be a lobbying session in three parts so more ‘nuns on buses’ can travel around and lobby their real god of govt to not forget transgender people in the LGBT community, focusing on the ‘T’ this time and their needs to be accepted in this world...

Here is a great article about Soros trying to infiltrate and weaken the Church. Also a small non exhaustive list of phony “catholic” organizations. Easyhttp://religiousleftexposed.com/home/2012/01/soros-funded-fake-catholic-groups-in-retreat.html.
Also I find it interesting that an Episcopal church with the same name is doing the same thing in Calif.
“All Saints Church is proud to have been in the forefront of the struggle for marriage equality in the State of California just as we have been in the forefront of LGBT equality in the Episcopal Church. From the first blessing of a same-sex union in 1992 to the formation of the Beyond Inclusion ministry in 1997 to the work of Claiming the Blessing beginning in 2002, All Saints Church has been committed to both equal protection and equal blessing for LGBT children of God.” I don’t condemn the entire Episcopal church for some obvious infiltration (in my view.) I don’t know what they believe. But I would guess this is just more of the same.

Behold, what two Bishops did in upper New York, Clark and Hubbard.

They were both replaced promptly when they retired.

Satan loves the churches.he loves secular govts. he does his best work when a church and a state work together for these ‘causes’..

From the flier, it was going to be a meet and greet where trans people and parents will tell their stories and people will learn about trans. Then the end of the three days it is a ‘becoming an ally for trans rights’. Segment...

I’m just guessing, but it isnt what God can do for the trans.. But what ‘you’ can do and by lobbying your reps and talking to your friends (and yes maybe even pray a little), you can get trans the needed acceptance..

I only want to be accepted by Him.. the world be damned.. but that’s just me..

Amen. My understanding is it’s all about us accepting Him.
“I only want to be accepted by Him.. the world be damned.. but that’s just me..” But I understand your sentiment. God bless you. We are moving towards a world wide fight and we’ll be asked if we worship Him or the world. My choice has been made. God give me the strength to act on my words! I don’t care what Christian religion some one adheres to. All I know is the infighting and sniping is satans doing.
