:)
How is the Trinity non-Biblical? Look at Ephesians chapter 1. The first half of it is a praise to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
But I agree with an earlier poster. Posts like this only serve to divide rather than unite (another Ephesians theme). We should strive for unity in the church. All believers, all parts working together, not against each other.
Thanks. That might be more convenient than the link that I posted. :)
How are we to be of one faith and of one mind if we can’t even agree on the role of the Church, the Eucharist, the effects of baptism, etc.? We can’t all be right.
AMEN.
Also the Trinity was refered to at the end of Mathew’s gospel, in the “great commission.”
Yes.
“Schismatic Catholics (Protestants) reject certain doctrines of the Catholic Church.”
Actually, Protestants took the church more seriously than the Catholics of the time, who were behaving badly.
“They propose the primacy of the Bible. Why did they keep the non-Biblical Trinity?”
“they” lol....I assure you lumping all Protestants into “they” is a mistake on your part.
The Trinity is not Biblical. Furthermore, belief in the Trinity is not a doctrine of salvation.
Pick your best Biblical verse in favor of the Trinity. You can use Ephesians 1 if you like, but you’ll be wrong.
What purpose can this post possibly fulfill?
The author is preaching to his choir.
I've not seen one post from this source that has caused me an instant's concern. Usually my response is "he think's that's a good arguement?"
Excellent and correct. Although Luther did find errors in Catholic doctrine that the Catholic Church has since corrected.
You are correct and lumping all Protestants as Trinitarians is incorrect as well. Thanks.
Protestant-Catholic violence is a political act and political acts are driven by money/power. Christians shouldn’t kill other Christians.
Unless I'm mistaken, you're referencing Mark 11:26: "But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses. Which is different entirely. And of course there's always 1 Timothy 2:5: For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
John 20, read the whole thing to get the context.
Not to imply I would want to box with the creator of the universe. The judges are a little biased.
Yeah, no middleman for me thanks.
That said I don’t have any issues with Catholics, I just have little use for Catholics or Protestants who seek to drive a wedge between the two.
guess the Assumption of Mary’s part of that tradition also??
