The biggest fallacy of Protestantism is that it trusts the Catholic Church to write, compile, canonize, spread, and preserve the Bible, but not to explain it.

Scribe, not write. The Word of God is the Word of God...

And before anyone starts with the “God wrote the Bible, not the Church” stuff...
“God is the author of Sacred Scripture” (CCC #105), but only in the sense that He “inspired the human authors of the sacred books” (CCC #106).

Prtotestism came about because the Catholic church forbid non-clergy from reading the bible and interpreting it themselves. The Pope and his priest set themselves up above the common people. It remains that way today. Why should anyone have to confess to a priest? That is the MAIN reason Luther started the schism in the church.

What purpose can this post possibly fulfill? We protestants know the disagreements we have with the Catholic Church. The Catholics know the disagreements they have with us.
You claim we have fallacies, we claim you have fallacies. (and most probably we are all right in that we all have errors in our doctrine. just different errors from each other) Yet it turns out that what unites us is more than what divides us. Why not focus on those things.
Or did you just want to stir up a fight for the entertainment value?

Well, it, in conjunction with the Holy Spirit, could inspire some to seek the Sacraments found only within the Church.

Because Jesus said so?
“If you forgive anyone’s sins, their sins are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven.” —Jesus
Unless the Apostles were mind-readers, sinners must have confessed their sins to them.
And since the Bible records the succession of Mathias to Judas’ “bishopric,” this special grace continued with the office.
So there it is, right there in the Bible (and in Tradition), unlike Luther’s human tradition of “the Bible ALONE.”

Schismatic Catholics (Protestants) reject certain doctrines of the Catholic Church. They propose the primacy of the Bible. Why did they keep the non-Biblical Trinity?

I think the Protestant-Catholic violence that arose at the end of the Middle Ages came about because Islam had receded from being a threat to Western Europe, and a Cold War line of demarcation had been established.
Now that Islam is back on the march, I think Protestants and Catholics need to lay aside their anomosity towards each other and remember we have a common enemy. If someone accepts Christ as his Savior, whether Catholic or Protestant, they'll get salvation.

I don’t think you understand Protestantism, it’s origins, or the many facets of it or you wouldn’t lump it together in a post like this.
There are failings of man which certainly afflict every denomination, including Catholicism. If not for that simple fact there weren’t there wouldn’t even be Protestants.

Exactly! The Trinity is never explicitly taught within the Bible.
