John 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world, to judge the world, but that the world may be saved by him.
John 3:18 He that believeth in him is not judged. But he that doth not believe, is already judged : because he believeth not in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

John 3:19 And this is the judgment : because the light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than the light : for their works were evil.
John 3:20 For every one that doth evil hateth the light, and cometh not to the light, that his works may not be reproved.
John 3:21 But he that doth truth, cometh to the light, that his works may be made manifest, because they are done in God.

So much for "Faith Alone" and "Once Saved Always Saved" both unless you make an exception to your own rule of reading verses in context.

First, you have to know what you are reading...

There is absolutely nothing in there about doing works for salvation...What it simply says is that if you turn to Jesus, you will be counseled, corrected, instructed (reproved) in the ways to believe and act like a Christian...

And that is the only judgment for a Christian...

Blah, blah, blah.

More drivel. As always, never, ever, read something in it's entirety. Always try to take a single verse here and there and if at all possible don't even acknowledge there is a context. That's standard Protestant "hide from the Truth" practice and has been ever since Luther threw out part of the Bible he didn't have any way around with his lame excuse for his own lack of desire to live a Christian life.

I notice you ignore the fact that verse 21 clearly states "come to the light that their works be made manifest". That's the part you most want to avoid.

Yawn.

Have another go at bobing and weaving if you like, but you absolutely CANNOT take that entire passage together and come to the conclusion you're selling to the gullible and ignorant.

have a nice day
